About Us

Hamdala College of Nursing Sciences (HAMCONS), Medile, Kano is a registered Cooperate Institution with Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria - Established by Decree 89 1979.

It is also a registered entity with cooperate affairs commission under Hamdala Islamic Support Foundation with the CAC registration Number 171440. The institution was registered with other relevant regulatory bodies/Ministries of Health and Tertiary Education in Kano State.

The Objectives of Hamdala College of Nursing Sciences includes: Promotion and availing the youth with learning and development opportunities in health education and technology. Uplift the standard of health care delivery system across the Country and enhanced discipline, professionalism and commitment to excellence in health education services delivery.

The aim of this College is to prepare competent, skilled, versatile and autonomous Nursing and Midwifery practitioners, who are capable of providing high-level health care to individuals and expectant families in the homes, communities, health centers, hospitals and clinics in the rural and urban centers of the society

Nursing

Our nursing department take the time to learn about the unique professional experiences and personal goals of each student in the program before the first day of classes even begins. In addition to finding the right clinical placement for you, it helps our world-renowned faculty better prepare you to excel on the Nursing Certiﬁcation Board exam. At the Hamdala College Nursing sciences, we base your education on an understanding of health sciences theory and clinical preparation that shapes the knowledge, judgment and skills needed to provide primary health care management to women and newborns.

To be eligible for admission to the above program, candidate must have Jamb and Five o level credit passes including English, mathematics physics, chemistry and biology.

Post Graduate Diploma

The Programms are as follows:

Postgraduate Diploma in Nursing Education
Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health (Family and Occupational Health)
Postgraduate Diploma in Maternal and Child Health (Family Planning)

Midwifery

We prepare you for a midwifery practice focused on providing family-centered, comprehensive care to essentially healthy women and their families. We believe that the autonomous practice of nurse practitioners/midwives is based on the health promotion model and interdependent practice—a system that emphasizes the unique aspects each health professional brings to the care of a client.
